What is DVT?
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) is a serious medical condition in which a blood clot forms in a deep vein—most commonly in the legs. If a clot breaks free and travels to the lungs, it can cause a potentially fatal Pulmonary Embolism (PE). Together, these conditions are known as Venous Thromboembolism (VTE).

Why prevention matters
Each year, up to 900,000 Americans are affected by DVT/PE. Of these, an estimated 60,000–100,000 deaths occur—many of them preventable. Without proper intervention, 1 in 3 patients may experience a recurrence within 10 years, and as many as half will suffer long-term complications such as chronic leg pain, swelling, and skin discoloration. Risk increases significantly after surgery, injury, or periods of immobility. Surgical patients—especially those recovering from orthopedic or abdominal procedures—are at elevated risk of DVT. Studies show that without preventive measures, up to 60% of surgical patients may develop clots. Symptoms are often silent until a serious complication occurs. Preventing DVT not only protects your health—it supports faster, safer healing and reduces hospital readmissions.

Our solution
We offer clinically proven pneumatic compression devices designed to enhance blood flow in the legs and reduce the risk of clot formation. These systems are comfortable, easy to use at home, and commonly prescribed following orthopedic surgery or for patients with limited mobility.

Billing information
Some insurance plans may cover DVT prevention devices when prescribed by a physician. We also offer competitive self-pay pricing for those without coverage, with direct delivery and dedicated support for patients and providers.

What is cold therapy?
Cold therapy, or cryotherapy, uses targeted cooling to reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation after surgery or injury. Unlike ice packs, advanced cold therapy systems circulate temperature controlled fluid through anatomically designed wraps, delivering consistent and effective relief to the affected area.

Why it’s needed
Post-operative pain and swelling can hinder mobility and delay healing. Cold therapy is widely recommended by surgeons to manage these symptoms naturally—helping patients recover more comfortably while reducing the need for opioid pain medications. Studies have shown that cold therapy can significantly decrease post-surgical opioid use by offering effective, non-pharmacologic pain relief.

Our Solution
We provide industry-leading cold therapy systems, including units from NICE Recovery Systems and other top manufacturers. These portable, ice-less systems are available for rental or purchase to support both short-term and extended recovery needs.

Billing and pricing:
Cold therapy is not always covered by insurance. That’s why we offer affordable cash-pay options for all units and will assist in confirming coverage if applicable. Our team can help you choose the right solution based on your surgery, budget, and physician’s recommendations.

What is a bone growth stimulator?
A bone growth stimulator is a noninvasive medical device that uses Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) technology to promote natural bone healing. These devices are worn externally and emit low-level electromagnetic signals that activate the body’s repair processes at the molecular, cellular, and tissue levels.

Why it’s needed
Bone growth stimulators are often prescribed for patients recovering from spinal fusion surgery, treating nonunion fractures, or with conditions that put them at risk for poor bone healing (such as smoking, diabetes, or osteoporosis). PEMF therapy has been clinically proven to:
● Increase bone cell activity and mineralization
● Accelerate callus formation and improve bone density
● Enhance spinal fusion success by up to 36%
● Help patients avoid revision surgeries or prolonged healing times
These devices are safe, well-tolerated, and have shown high healing success rates—up to 92% in spinal fusion cases and over 80% in long bone nonunion cases when used consistently.

Billing and eligibility
Bone growth stimulators are prescription-only devices and are typically covered by insurance, including Medicare, when medically necessary. Our team works with your physician and insurance provider to determine eligibility and will handle the paperwork on your behalf. For those without coverage, we offer clear cash-pay pricing and patient support throughout the process.
